Jars President Word:
Jars Education Group
If you feel like single-instance, event-oriented training isn't driving sustainable organizational change, you're not alone. Research confirms that most employees revert to old ways and habits once the training is complete. The good news is, there's a better way, and we can help.
I am President of Jars Education, a unique and solution-focused professional training institute, Akin Merino. According to our customers, Jars Training Institute is the best-kept secret in the training world. We have successfully graduated clients from various sectors of society, including academia, business, non-profits, community, and government organizations.
Our solution-focused approach to training keeps the onus of success on the employee and Jars as the training partner. Unlike traditional training programs, our workshops are designed to keep your employees engaged professionally and personally after the initial training event. We're here to help you drive accurate and lasting change.
For the past 16 years, we've specialized in reinventing ways to best meet our clients' needs. Our innovative three-month Access program keeps us connected to you and your organization as you practice and progress toward your stated outcomes. This service is free because we're committed to ensuring you succeed and can demonstrate value.

Jars Trauma Awareness Walk
1 in 3 individuals experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. Trauma accounts for a significant portion of these cases. Whether from the toxic stresses of economic recession, political upheavals, wars, communal conflicts, rape, kidnappings, human trafficking, gender-based violence, domestic abuse, or disability, trauma knows no boundaries, affecting individuals of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.
The implications of untreated trauma are persistent, prevalent and pervasive, extending far beyond the realm of mental health. It can erode relationships, hinder academic and professional success, and perpetuate cycles of poverty and inequality.
Furthermore, trauma survivors are at increased risk of physical health problems, including chronic pain, cardiovascular disease, and autoimmune disorders, highlighting the interconnectedness of mind and body. Access to affordable quality mental health care becomes paramount, offering a lifeline to those grappling with the aftermath of trauma and paving the way towards a brighter, more resilient future.
We believe that healing happens when we come together. That is why we started the Mental Health awareness campaign tagged Trauma Care is Community Care and incorporated a community-oriented trauma awareness walk. The Jars Education's annual Traumatic Stress Awareness Walk is more than just an event – it's a powerful statement that trauma care is a collective responsibility, a reminder that no one should suffer alone. It is a powerful reminder that trauma is beatable and treatable.
This year, our theme is Moving Together for Trauma Care. Moving our bodies offers a release of trauma stored as memories in our bodies. There also needs to be movement to create a collective that can make a difference.
In that light of movement and togetherness to break the stigma surrounding mental health challenges and bring hope and light to the scourge of traumatic stress, the walk is being coordinated in various locations across Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Locations include:
- Ibadan, Nigeria
- Lagos, Nigeria
- Kaduna, Nigeria
- Rivers, Nigeria
- Nairobi, Kenya
- Tigray, Ethiopia
- London, United Kingdom
- California, United States, and more locations are being added.
